It can be hard to look back at your life as an older nonbinary person.

The ways in which society held you back in earlier years becomes more obvious with age. It can be especially complex when young nonbinary people around you are able to thrive in ways that you had wait to experience.

But your history, your memory, is valuable. You are needed to remind us of how bad it has been, what it's still like around the world, and how important it is to continue to fight for more.

And as Robert Hubbell reports today, through it all, the beyond shameful New York Times keeps right on trying to sanewash Trump, with hot-shot young reporter Michael Gold trying to sell Trump's off-the-wall lewd reminiscences about Arnold Palmer as "golf stories." Until so many readers shouted back that the Times had to make a correction….

Let’s focus on what we can control!Today's Edition Newsletter

"Trump’s Campaign is in freefall. Trump’s own behavior has been completely off the rails, and the media are paying attention. His closing argument seems to be that he’s in cognitive decline and not capable of another term as president. I won’t speculate about what’s going on with him but something clearly is, and whatever the issue is it should be disqualifying."

"The bottom line is simple: Donald Trump has no business running for the presidency. It’s increasingly difficult to dismiss the notion that Republican kingmakers are well aware of his incapacity but are intent on using his popularity to take the election and then quickly transitioning to a JD Vance presidency."

"The fact that someone on Trump’s campaign leaked to Politico that he is 'exhausted' is almost certainly a sign that people down the ranks are deeply concerned about his ability to finish the campaign, let alone run the country. But party leaders continue to stand behind him, raising echoes of their staunch support during Trump’s two impeachment trials."

"The real story of today is that the Republican candidate for president is not mentally able to handle the job of the presidency, and Republican leaders are trying to cover up that reality. ...

To anyone paying attention, it is clear that Trump is not in any shape to manage the government of the United States of America."

"At a town hall-style forum in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Trump seemed to have no recollection of meeting with a severely injured veteran and his family. The veteran’s wife noted that 'you visited with him many times' and ;you just saw him this summer.'”

The record remains broken and we grow weary of listening, but it's impossible to stop playing it — too much hinges on our refusal to hear:

"The last two weeks alone, we have been treated to an incomprehensible amount of evidence of Donald Trump’s unfitness."

~ Mary L. Trump

Then Mary Trump offers quite a list of incidents to back her statement up.

The WTF of It AllThe Good in Us by Mary L. Trump

Noting that Trump's niece Mary Trump is warning us that Trump's mental decline is steep and dangerous for all of us if he's elected, Dean Obeidallah writes:

"Corporate media covered President Biden’s potential cognitive issues non-stop—but when it comes to Trump they are giving him a pass. We know that’s not happenstance, but rather a decision made by corporate media executives—many of whom who are supporting Trump."
